The current solar cycle is more active than forecasters thought, and it shows no signs of slowing. Solar flares have been causing communications blackouts and threatening to damage satellites. Now there’s talk of a major one heading right towards Earth. Considering we haven’t yet perfected the science to predict solar flares, should we be concerned?
