PARABNORMAL NEWS — The first UAP hearing in Congress in more than a year happened on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
A joint subcommittee hearing titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth” was held in the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. It was co-chaired by Rep. Nancy Mace, chair of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation, and Rep. Glenn Grothman, chair of the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs.
A press release last week stated that the hearing would attempt to further pull back the curtain on secret UAP research programs conducted by the U.S. government and their undisclosed findings. It would also examine the reluctance by the Department of Defense to appropriately declassify UAP-related material and make sure that Americans are better informed on the phenomenon.
“This is our second hearing on the topic of UAPs and the American people are tired of the obfuscation and refusal to release information by the federal government. Americans deserve to understand what the government has learned about UAP sightings, and the nature of any potential threats these phenomena pose,” Representatives Mace and Grothman stated.
Four witnesses testified and their opening statements are linked below:
- Dr. Tim Gallaudet, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Ret.) and Chief Executive Officer, Ocean STL Consulting, LLC
- Mr. Luis Elizondo, author and former Department of Defense official
- Mr. Michael Gold, former NASA Associate Administrator of Space Policy and Partnerships and member of NASA UAP Independent Study Team
- Mr. Michael Shellenberger, founder of Public
