Remembering Scot Violette

PARABNORMAL NEWS — Our dear friend, Bigfoot researcher and anthropologist Scot Violette, has left us too soon. His wife Hannah shared the heartbreaking news with close friends on Wednesday. Scot was 62 years old.

“I can’t even put into words how much of a loss this is. You meant so much to so many. This one really hurts,” said Into The Parabnormal host Jeremy Scott.

Scot was a bigfooter at heart with a big heart. He served his country in Desert Storm. In addition to all that, he was a preacher, school teacher, stage magician, author, father, husband, and friend. And I’m probably forgetting a few.

We first crossed paths in 2019 when I had him on the show and he invited me to Baker City, Oregon for the first Blue Mountain Bigfoot Festival. There I had the chance to meet the legendary Dr. Jeff Meldrum. Through return trips in 2023 and 2024, I was introduced to Michael Freeman, Todd Neiss, Robert Leiterman, Tom & Peggy Sewid and fellow passionate bigfooters from all around the world.

This never would have happened without Scot.

Always with a spare minute to lend an ear, offer an opinion, and show off the scroll of bigfoot pictures on his phone, Scot took the time to let you know he cared about you.

We send condolences to his wife Hannah and the Violette family.

A fundraiser has been set-up to help Hannah start over. If you feel inclined to donate, the link is below.

Help Hannah get back on her feet and to not feel alone

In Scot’s honor, we present the following episodes from March 1, 2019, and April 18, 2023 alongside his wife Hannah.
