PARABNORMAL NEWS — From vanishing aircraft and ships to other unexplained events, the Bermuda Triangle has long been a hotspot for mystery and speculation.
Theories about the infamous region of the Atlantic Ocean stretching between Florida, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda have spread widely ever since the disappearance of an American coal-carrying ship during World War I in 1918.
Some scientists would argue there’s no real mystery at all, but one says the explanation is far less supernatural.
Dr. Simon Boxall, an oceanographer at the University of Southampton, points to a natural phenomenon: rogue waves as high as 100′ which can sink anything in its path.
So while the legend of the Bermuda Triangle lives on, experts say the truth may lie not in the supernatural, but in the sea itself.
