{"id":21115,"date":"2022-11-11T16:16:56","date_gmt":"2022-11-12T00:16:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/parabnormalradio.com\/?p=21115"},"modified":"2024-08-18T21:53:50","modified_gmt":"2024-08-19T04:53:50","slug":"artemis-1-prepares-for-launch-after-surviving-two-hurricanes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/parabnormalradio.com\/2022\/11\/11\/artemis-1-prepares-for-launch-after-surviving-two-hurricanes\/","title":{"rendered":"Artemis 1 Prepares For Launch After Surviving Two Hurricanes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nPARABNORMAL NEWS \u2014 After more than two and a half months of delays, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/artemis-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASA&#8217;s Artemis 1<\/a> rocket is headed to the Moon.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wKwoBudYIiI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Although they&#8217;ve faced challenges including those from Tropical Storm Nicole after being left out on the launch pad, the team is confident the rocket will launch this time as early as Wednesday, November 16th.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Right now, there&#8217;s nothing preventing us from getting to the 16th,&#8221; said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/feature\/james-free-associate-administrator-for-exploration-systems-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jim Free<\/a>, Associate Administrator of NASA&#8217;s Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was moved back to the launch pad last week after being in the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center for maintenance since late September.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We decided to stay at the pad. We had predictions then that the storm, the winds were gonna be high, but still within our certification limits,&#8221; Free added.<\/p>\n<p>The first two launches were called off and Artemis survived Hurricane Ian last month.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been able to protect the rocket from the hurricane. And we&#8217;ve been able to get into our inspections and make repairs&#8221;, said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/centers\/kennedy\/about\/biographies\/lanham.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cliff Lanham<\/a>, Senior Vehicle Operations Manager of the NASA&#8217;s Exploration Ground Systems Program about the brush with Ian.<\/p>\n<p>This mission will not have a crew.
