PARABNORMAL NEWS — Researchers propose building an “interstellar interceptor” probe to lurk in far-Earth orbit and observe asteroids buzzing through the solar system.<\/p>\n

When an object is detected, the team could send the spacecraft to intercept it.<\/p>\n

The probe would allow astronomers to more accurately document the surfaces of space rocks and possibly collect samples of gases.<\/p>\n

“The easiest thing is to fly by and take a photograph. To tell whether it’s artificial or not, it would be sufficient to just take a photograph. But to study it and understand what it contains, you might want to land on it,” Harvard University’s Dr. Avi Loeb<\/a> told “Into The Parabnormal”.<\/p>\n

There have been two interstellar objects recorded in 2017 with Oumuamua<\/a> and Borisov<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n

By the time they were detected by telescopes, it was too late to catch up to them.<\/p>\n

The team suspects that multiple interstellar objects pass through the solar system unnoticed every year.<\/p>\n
