PARABNORMAL NEWS — NASA’s Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study team released its report on Thursday followed by a briefing on the matter.

“There are currently a limited number of high-quality observations of UAP, which currently make it impossible to draw firm scientific conclusions about their nature,” the team concluded in a statement.

The agency appointed a Director of UAP Research based on a recommendation by the team for NASA to “play a more prominent role in understanding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)”.

Mark McInerney, who previously served as NASA’s liaison to the Department of Defense covering limited UAP activities for the agency, has been named the inaugural director. McInerney has served in various positions at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Hurricane Center.

“NASA’s new Director of UAP Research will develop and oversee the implementation of NASA’s scientific vision for UAP research, including using NASA’s expertise to work with other agencies to analyze UAP and applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to search the skies for anomalies,” said Administrator Bill Nelson.

During the briefing, it was stated that limited data makes it difficult to draw conclusions on the origin of UAP, but they did not find evidence of extraterrestrials.
