Is it a moon, planet, or something entirely new?

PARABNORMAL NEWS — Astronomers may have discovered the first known exosatellite, an object that blurs the line between a moon and planet.

Using the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in Chile, researchers identified a giant gas world orbiting a brown dwarf in a star system about 73 light-years from Earth. Brown dwarfs are often called failed stars because they aren't massive enough to sustain nuclear fusion like normal stars.

The newly found object is large enough to qualify as a planet, but because it orbits a brown dwarf, which itself orbits a star, scientists say it's difficult to determine whether it should be classified as a planet or moon. So, they're calling it an exosatellite, marking the first confirmed discovery of its kind.
