PARABNORMAL NEWS — If Earth’s magnetic field made a sound, what would it be?
Magnetic signals measured by the European Space Agency’s Swarm satellite were converted to sound by researchers at the Technical University of Denmark.
The rumbling is accompanied by the representation of a geomagnetic storm that resulted from a solar flare in 2011.
“We’ve taken data from 100,000 years’ worth of magnetic field fluctuations and we’ve mapped that to audio tracks, so what you are hearing is being controlled by the movements of Earth’s magnetic field, ” said a project coordinator with DTU Space.
It sounds pretty scary; almost like eerie creaks, crackling sounds and deep breathing that sound like a typical haunted house.
