PARABNORMAL NEWS — Amidst all the talk of unidentified objects breaching U.S. and Canadian airspace comes a report from England of a near miss between a jet and an unknown object over Newcastle last November.
The crew of a Royal Air Force Atlas aircraft encountered what they initially thought was a drone in the middle of the afternoon. Then it passed in front of the flight deck and came within just a few feet of the wing tip.
The crew described the object as circular with a hollow center just a few feet in diameter.
The UK Airprox Board says they were unable to determine the nature of the unknown object and that there was a quote: “definite risk of collision”, saying the object came within one foot of the aircraft and it happened so quickly that there was no time for the crew to react.
