U.S. Drone Downed By Russian Fighter Jet Over Black Sea

PARABNORMAL NEWS — A U.S. surveillance drone was brought down by a Russian fighter jet over the Black Sea on Tuesday.

Officials say the unmanned MQ-9 Reaper drone was harassed in international airspace bordering several countries before it was forced down in international waters.

“What we saw, again, were fighter aircraft dumping fuel in front of this UAV. And then getting so close to the aircraft that it actually damaged the propellor on the MQ-9,” said Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder.

He says the collision likely also damaged the Su-27 fighter jet.

Officials are calling it an “unsafe and unprofessional act by the Russians” that nearly caused both aircraft to crash.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims the drone was flying with its transponders off in violation of the boundaries set for its “special military operation” in Ukraine.

The Pentagon states that the U.S. routinely flies in both sovereign and international airspace in accordance with international law. The surveillance drone has been wiped should Russia get to it first.
